Can you imagine what it would be like to go to sleep tonight and wake up in a different century? That´s the premise of the new mystery-thriller, Lazarus Man: Resurrection.

2008 was a bad year for Neil Jonathan Johnson. After a chronic, debilitating illness, he racked up some substantial medical bills investigating the cause. Then his doctor told him the disease he had was fatal. And due to a series of unusual circumstances involving an exchange of transplanted organs for money, arrangements were made for Neil to be cryonically frozen until a time in the future when he could be resurrected and cured.

Before Neil “went under,” he wasn´t confident he would ever be brought back to life. So when he is revived more than a century later, he´s not at all ready for the world he discovers.

First he finds that there have been incredible technological advances. Miniature computers worn on the body that project a holographic screen onto the air in front of the user. Humanoid robot workers. Solar-powered, air-propelled flying vehicles. Laser and Electro-Magnetic Pulse weapons so devastating they´re illegal, but still available to people with the right connections.

Then he learns of sweeping social and political change. Nations have merged, cities have grown by absorbing surrounding communities, and states have disappeared. Low-income government housing is located entirely underground.

And since no one from his previous life is still alive, Neil can´t understand why someone in this world is trying to kill him. Two police detectives, one human and one robot, are assigned to protect him and catch his attempted assassin. Suspects include an ex-con who´s trying to go straight, a medical research scientist who doesn´t like to lose, and a Fundamentalist minister who only approves of resurrections that are included the Bible.

Follow Neil´s adventures as he is resurrected to face a new world—and find a second chance at life—in this innovative, imaginative novel.
